Wengé wood, also called the African rosewood, is a dark wood growing in the tropical and equatorial regions of Africa. Very durable and resistant, it is often used to make furniture and musical instruments. Fresh cut, the wengé is orange, it then melts to become brown. It symbolizes work, pride and honor.
