Chinese octagonal box in rosewood or pear wood.

Rosewood, or dalbergia odorifera, is a precious wood that was already used to make high-quality furniture from the Ming dynasties and the early Qing. Its touch is extremely soft because its grain has unparalleled finesse. It has a slight smell of pear, which gave it its name odorifera. The growth of this tree is very slow, which explains its rarity.
As for pear wood, it is a tree with great longevity. According to some, it would promote romantic relationships and divination.
Completely handcrafted, this Chinese box is made of rosewood or pear wood from China.
